$3 MILLION FOR A MAN WHO SUFFERED POST-CONCUSSION SYNDROME AS A RESULT OF BEING INJURED BY A NEGLIGENTLY INSTALLED BAR FLAP

The Law Offices of Richard L. Pullano obtained a $3 million jury verdict for a man who suffered a mild traumatic brain injury that led to post-concussion syndrome when he was injured by a negligently installed bar flap that fell on top of his head.

The plaintiff was working as a high-end bartender at a newly opened Gold Coast restaurant, Del Frisco’s. The bar flap that injured him was designed to hold at every angle, allowing for an easier flow of traffic from behind the bar into the dining room. Because the bar flap had not been properly installed, it fell on top of the plaintiffs head with the same force as a hammer dropping from 8ft above his head. The accident sent him to the ER where he was diagnosed with a concussion that later devolved into post-concussion syndrome.
